NHS treatment is available to children under 18 years of age who require orthodontic treatment for dental health reasons like severe crowding or protrusion of the teeth. Unfortunately treatment for more cosmetic problems is not usually available on the NHS.
Paul Scott Orthodontics has a limited NHS contract which is undertaken at the Orthosolutions practice in Leeds. The amount of NHS funding each year dictates how many patients can be treated each year, with a waiting list for the assessment for the eligibility for NHS treatment and commencement of treatment.
NHS treatment is carried out by our expert team of specialist orthodontists, dentists and orthodontic therapists. Appointments are usually only available between 8.30am and 4pm.
Anyone under the age of 18 is eligible for a free NHS consultation to determine whether they qualify for NHS treatment and you will need to be referred to us by your dentist for an NHS assessment.
If you are not suitable for NHS treatment we also offer private treatment, which is available for all ages and offers a number of benefits over NHS treatment, including flexible appointment times and a choice of the latest invisible braces.
